Refund policy.
Last updated · 2026-05-15
elopadel offers paid Pro subscriptions (monthly or annual) with a 14-day free trial. This policy explains how refunds are handled. All payments are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play (with RevenueCat managing entitlements server-side). Refunds are therefore subject to the policies of the platform you purchased from.
1. Trial period (14 days)
During the 14-day free trial no charge is made. You can cancel at any time from your Apple ID settings or Google Play account and you'll keep Pro access until the end of the trial period at no cost.
If you do not cancel before the trial ends, Apple or Google will automatically process the first charge (€7/month or €50/year depending on plan). This is the standard behavior for app-store subscriptions with a free trial.
2. Auto-renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. We send a reminder notification 7 days before each annual renewal, in compliance with EU regulations for digital subscriptions.
3. How to request a refund
iOS / iPadOS
iOS refunds are handled exclusively by Apple. Request them at reportaproblem.apple.com. Sign in with your Apple ID, find the elopadel charge, and select “Request a refund”. Apple reviews each case and usually responds within 24-48 hours. Decisions are Apple's, not elopadel's.
Android
On Android, refunds can be handled directly by our support team. Write to support@elopadel.app with:
- The Google Play account email used
- The approximate charge date
- The reason for your request
We'll process the request within 24 working hours. Alternatively, you can request a refund directly from Google Play → Account → Order history within the windows Google allows (typically 48 hours after purchase).
4. EU right of withdrawal
If you reside in the European Union, you have a 14-day withdrawal period from the initial purchase of a digital service, under Directive 2011/83/EU.
By starting your subscription and using elopadel Pro during the trial or after a charge, you expressly waive this right once the digital service has begun, per Article 16(m) of the same Directive. This waiver is confirmed on the purchase screen before the first charge.
We nonetheless maintain a reasonable refund policy for Android as described in Section 3. On iOS, decisions are made by Apple.
5. Cases where refunds do not apply
- Subscriptions cancelled after a full usage period (the subscription ends at the close of the billed period, with no prorated refund).
- Annual renewals you did not act on after receiving the 7-day reminder, except for verifiable technical errors.
- Purchases made with shared family accounts (iOS Family Sharing, Google Play Family Library) by unauthorized third parties — handle these with the platform directly.
6. Beta testers
Closed-beta participants receive free annual Pro access and are never charged. If you receive a charge during the beta, write to us immediately at support@elopadel.app — it's an error and we will correct it without delay.
7. Cancelling a subscription
Cancelling alone does not generate a refund, but stops future charges:
- iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → elopadel → Cancel
- Android: Google Play → Subscriptions → elopadel → Cancel
After cancelling, you retain Pro access until the end of the already-billed period.
8. Erroneous or fraudulent charges
If you see a charge from elopadel you don't recognize:
- Check with family members who have access to your Apple ID / Google Play account.
- Verify whether it comes from a trial that wasn't cancelled in time.
- If you confirm it is fraudulent, follow the process in Section 3 and contact your card issuer.
